Whether this is your first, second or final pregnancy, it’s nice to have beautiful maternity photos to remember your pregnancy by, even nicer to show your children in years to come. Only you can decide how you’d like your pregnancy photography portraits captured, it’s our job to help you do that in way that is meaningful to you.

Our approach:

Your maternity photography can be done by yourself, with your partner, with your children and with pets. Maternity photos are a great excuse to capture a few family photos. We can make it as casual or as glamorous as you like. We can provide you with as little or as much instruction as you like. If posing isn’t your thing and you enjoy a good laugh (so do we) we can inject some creativity and humor into your maternity photography or capture your journey from a lifestyle storytelling perspective.

FAQ

The ideal time for maternity photos is between 30-34 weeks of pregnancy when your bump is nicely rounded and high, but you’re still feeling comfortable. For those expecting twins or multiples, the best window is between 28-34 weeks. This timing helps you capture your pregnancy glow before the final weeks get too tiring, and it ensures you’re not caught off guard if the baby arrives early.

In case of rain on the day of your shoot, we may need to reschedule, so it’s always a good idea to plan your session with a little buffer before your due date!

Before your session, we’ll send you a maternity styling guide with tips to coordinate your family’s outfits effortlessly. Soft pastels, neutrals, or earthy tones help keep the spotlight on you and your beautiful bump. Flowy maxi dresses with an empire waist or adjustable ties create dreamy, timeless photos. Want a more modern, bold vibe? A fitted dress or lace robe perfectly showcases that bump.

Prefer a laid-back look? Classic jeans and a fitted top work wonders. And if you’d like to show some skin, a crop top, open-front cardigan, or elegant lingerie paired with a robe can create stunning, intimate images. Pro tip: a g-string helps avoid those sneaky underwear lines.

When it comes to patterns, less is more – solid colors photograph beautifully, while logos and busy designs can be distracting. And don’t forget the finishing touches! Professional hair and makeup can make you feel extra special, but if you’re doing it yourself, aim for soft, natural tones. When you book with us, you’ll receive a guide featuring a variety of stunning spots to choose from. We schedule all outdoor sessions during the golden hour—the final two hours before sunset—capturing the most flattering natural light. Every location is thoughtfully chosen and pre-tested to ensure the perfect lighting for your photos.

We’re all about crafting one-of-a-kind, purposeful images that tell a story, not just snapping countless frames with little variation. Every package covers my time spent preparing before the session, capturing moments during the shoot, carefully retouching your photos afterward, and delivering your gallery online.

A session fee is a non-refundable retainer paid at the time of booking.  It’s included in the pricing above and not an extra fee. The retainer covers all pre-shoot work, including emails, administrative tasks, consultations, location scouting, and planning. These amounts are non-refundable in the event of a cancellation. If you need to reschedule due to illness, we can accommodate a change with at least 24 hours notice.  Please note that additional rescheduling requests will be treated as cancellations, as we reserve your session time exclusively for you and forego income by not booking other families in your spot. If the weather doesn’t cooperate and it rains on your scheduled day, we’ll happily reschedule at no extra charge.  

Absolutely! Families are always welcome. Our outdoor maternity photoshoots include up to six people, and you’re more than welcome to bring along your pet at no extra charge. Just a heads-up, we recommend having a handler and some treats to keep your furry friend happy during the shoot and to allow for some shots without them!

Absolutely! We’re big animal lovers and treat pets like family. If you’d like to include your furry friend in your session, just let us know, and we’ll help choose the perfect spot. For smoother sessions, we recommend bringing a handler so we can capture some shots without the pet too.

A print release provides the artists permission to reproduce digital images in printed form.  A print release does not transfer copyright or provide permission to modify images.

We put in hours of planning, designing, and sprinkling our special artistic magic on your photos. Just like other pro photographers, we don’t hand out raw, unedited files. We like to keep a little of that magic under wraps. 

I’d love to offer a discount, but my camera is only set to capture full-price smiles!  um, in seriousness the time spent photographing is just a small part of the whole experience—there’s a lot more that happens behind the scenes. As with any business, there are ongoing costs involved in providing a service, and while it might seem like we just press a button, there’s so much more to it. On average, a photographer spends around 8 hours preparing, editing, and handling everything from admin to marketing, accounting, sourcing props, and responding to inquiries.  We also price according to experience.  As a sole trader with a family to support, I’m unable to adjust pricing. Thank you for understanding!

Within three weeks after your shoot (a little longer if public holidays fall during that time), you’ll have access to a private online gallery to view and select your images. These images will be shown in low resolution with a watermark for your selection. Once you’ve made your choices and shared them with me, you’ll receive a download pin. The gallery will stay active for two weeks. If your package includes prints, or if you’ve added prints, please allow 4 to 6 weeks for them to be custom-made and professionally printed. If you need your images by a specific date, be sure to account for processing times.  Please note: we are closed for Christmas and New Year, any sessions shot less than three weeks before Christmas will not be delivered until the second week of January.
