This COVID-Safe Plan outlines how we will operate in a COVID-Safe way to manage risk for families undertaking our services
Recommencement of Family Photography and Newborn Photography Services
In consultation with the A.C.T. Government Business Liaison Office Bronwyn Parsons Photography will re-open as follows:
- Outdoor photography (with COVID-safe restrictions) from the 1/10/2021
- Indoor studio photography (with COVID-safe restrictions) from the 29/10/2021
Indoor Capacity Limits
- 5 person limit *not including the photographer (1 person per 4 sqm from 4/11/2021)
- Maximum capacity signage is communicated on booking and clearly displayed at our studio entrance
- Indoor capacity is marshalled by the photographer
Ensuring Physical Distancing
- When working with parents and siblings a distance of 1.5 m is maintained by the photographer. When it is not possible to social distance (i.e. handling a newborn) the photographer wears a N95 mask and practices frequent hand hygiene.
- Contactless bookings, invoicing, contracts and payments
- Contactless print collection by appointment only
- Consultations will be facilitated by phone
- Outdoor photography locations will be selected based on them not being over populated
- Outdoor photography is for immediate household family members only (not exceeding 6 persons)
- Indoor photography sessions are for immediate household family members only (not exceeding indoor studio capacity limits above)
- Signage is clearly displayed indoors and marshalled by the photographer
Face masks
- As a requirement of entry to our studio all persons aged 12 years and over must wear a single use disposable face mask. Face masks will be required to be worn for the foreseeable future .
- We reserve the right to refuse entry to persons over 12 years who are not wearing a face mask
- A single use N95 equivalent mask is worn at all times by the photographer for indoor sessions
- Our covid safe and illness policy is pre-advised and communicated to clients prior to the shoot
Hand sanitiser and good hygiene
- Hand sanitiser is positioned at the entrance to our studio and at key points inside our studio
- All persons (including children) entering our indoor studio must apply hand sanitiser prior to entry
- All persons entering our indoor studio are encouraged to regularly re-apply hand sanitiser
- Signage is clearly displayed at our indoor entrance, inside our premises and is marshalled by the photographer
- To avoid cross over between families, private bathroom facilities for indoor sessions are not available at this time. Public bathroom facilities for indoor sessions are located at Kambah Adventure Park a 2 minute minute drive from the studio.
- Props and photographic equipment must not be handled by anyone other than the photographer
- Our covid safe policy is pre-advised and communicated to clients prior to the shoot.
Sanitizing props after each client (indoor photography)
- Props are not available for use outdoors
- Soft props (wraps, blankets, posing pillows, prop layers, beanies) are washed and air dried in the sun
- Hard props are wiped down with hospital grade disinfectant.
- Props that can’t be washed in the conventional way (handmade curly wool felted layers, flokati rugs, furs, backdrops, hair flowers) are aired outdoors and sprayed with hospital grade disinfectant
Cleaning the studio between clients (indoor photography)
- High use touch points are cleaned after every client
- Floors are vacuumed (HEPA filter)
- Bins are changed and washed
- Soft props are stored in air tight containers and may only be handled by the photographer
Record Keeping
- Contact details for persons being photographed are collected prior to the session as part of our ongoing booking process. We reserve the right to refuse entry to persons not on the attendance list.
Extra precautions
- Entry to our indoor premises is conditional on persons over 12 years wearing a face mask
- Increased Ventilation indoors by opening windows
- A N95 mask is worn and frequent hand sanitizing is practiced by the photographer during indoor sessions
- Shared private bathroom facilities are not available for indoor sessions at this time. Public bathroom facilities are located at Adventure Playground Kambah (a 2 minute drive from the studio)
- Indoor studio sessions are limited to one family household (i.e. 2 adults and children living together) per 24 hours to allow adequate time for cleaning between clients
- Australian Government Department of Health Infection Control Training e-learning certificate of acknowledgement (completed 18 March 2020)
Illness exclusion policy
- The importance of not attending if symptomatic of illness in the 7 days leading up to the shoot is communicated in our terms of service under "illness policy" signed by the client on booking
- The importance of not attending if symptomatic of illness is reinforced in ongoing direct communication with clients
- Indoor signage communicating the importance of not attending if symptomatic of illness is clearly displayed
- Attending symptomatic of illness will result in the shoot being deemed a cancellation
- If the photographer is unwell, affected clients will be notified and provided a future booking
- An exposure to a person with COVID 19 will result in the closure of this business until it is declared safe to re-open by the relevant authority
- In the event that the Photographer or photographers household are covid positive the photographer will 1. Immediate quarantine 2. Notify WorkSafe A.C.T. where there is evidence it was contracted at a workplace 2. get tested 3. Identify and notify close contacts 4. not undertake photography appointments until the photographer has received a negative PCR test result and has no symptoms.
- In the event that the Client or Clients household are covid positive the client must contact the photographer to reschedule and not attend when symptomatic of illness or covid positive.
