This COVID-Safe Plan outlines how we will operate in a COVID-Safe way to manage risk for families undertaking our services

Recommencement of Family Photography and Newborn Photography Services 

In consultation with the A.C.T. Government Business Liaison Office Bronwyn Parsons Photography will re-open as follows:

  • Outdoor photography (with COVID-safe restrictions) from the 1/10/2021
  • Indoor studio  photography (with COVID-safe restrictions) from the 29/10/2021

Indoor Capacity Limits

  • 5 person limit *not including the photographer (1 person per 4 sqm from 4/11/2021)
  • Maximum capacity signage is clearly displayed at our studio entrance and is marshalled by the photographer

Ensuring Physical Distancing

  • Both the photographer and client/s must remain a minimum of 1.5m from each other when possible
  • Contactless bookings, invoicing, contracts and payments
  • Contactless print collection by appointment only
  • Consultations will be facilitated by phone
  • Outdoor photography locations will be selected based on them being a safe distance from other members of the public
  • Outdoor photography is for immediate household family members only (not exceeding 6 persons)
  • Indoor photography sessions are for immediate household family members only (not exceeding indoor studio capacity limits above)
  • Signage is clearly displayed indoors and marshalled by the photographer
  • Portable signage is displayed outdoors and marshalled by the photographer

Face masks

  • All persons over the age of 12 years must wear a face mask in our indoor studio space.  Face masks will still be required in our indoor space after the 11/11/2021 until the foreseeable future.
  • When photographing a group of people in an outdoor space, gathering requirements must be complied with.  Until the 29/10/2021 persons from the same household, may remove their masks briefly to enable photographs to be taken if there is no one else in close vicinity.  Mask wearing must resume as soon as practicable afterwards. From the 29/10/2021 mask wearing outdoors is not required.
  • A single use N95 equivalent mask is worn at all times by the photographer for indoor sessions
  • A single use 3 ply mask is worn by the photographer for outdoor sessions when social distancing cannot be maintained

Hand sanitiser and good hygiene

  • Hand sanitiser is positioned at the entrance to our studio and at key points inside our studio
  • All persons entering our indoor studio must wash their hands in soap and water prior to entry AND apply hand sanitiser
  • All persons entering our indoor studio are encouraged to regularly re-apply hand sanitiser
  • Signage is clearly displayed at our indoor entrance, inside our premises and is marshalled by the photographer
  • Hand sanitiser is positioned with portable outdoor signage and marshalled by the photographer
  • Public bathroom facilities for indoor sessions are located at Kambah Adventure Park a 3 minute drive from the studio.  Private bathroom facilities are not available at this time.
  • Props and photographic equipment must not be handled by anyone other than the photographer

Sanitizing props after each client 

  • Props are not available for use outdoors
  • Soft props (wraps, blankets, posing pillows, prop layers, beanies) are washed and air dried in the sun
  • Hard props are wiped down with hospital grade disinfectant.
  • Props that can’t be washed in the conventional way (handmade curly wool felted layers, flokati rugs, furs, backdrops, hair flowers) are aired outdoors and sprayed with hospital grade disinfectant

Cleaning the studio between clients (indoor photography)

  • High use touch points are cleaned after every client
  • Floors are vacuumed (HEPA filter)
  • Bins are changed and washed
  • Soft props are stored in air tight containers and may only be handled by the photographer

Record Keeping

  • All staff and clients over 16 years of age are required to sign in using the CBR checkIn app for indoor photography, outdoor photography and print collection.
  • Fines of $1,000 may be issued by the A.C.T. Government for individuals failing to comply with checkin.
  • Sign in is marshalled by the photographer
  • Contact details for persons being photographed will also be collected prior to the session as part of our ongoing booking process

Extra precautions 

  • Entry to our indoor premises is conditional on the completion of a health risk assessment questionnaire 48 hours prior to arrival
  • Entry to our indoor premises is conditional on undertaking a contactless temperature check
  • Entry to our indoor premises is conditional on persons over 12 years wearing a face mask
  • Increased Ventilation indoors by opening doors
  • A window extractor fan is used to exhaust air outdoors and to increase air ventilation rates
  • A N95 mask is worn and frequent hand sanitizing is practiced by the photographer
  • Shared private bathroom facilities are not available for indoor sessions at this time. Public bathroom facilities are located at Adventure Playground Kambah (a 3 minute drive from the studio)
  • Indoor studio sessions are limited to one family household per 24 hours to allow adequate time for cleaning between clients
  • Australian Government Department of Health Infection Control Training e-learning certificate of acknowledgement (completed 18 March 2020)

Illness exclusion policy

  • The importance of not attending if symptomatic of illness is communicated in our terms of service under "illness policy" signed on booking
  • The importance of not attending if symptomatic of illness is reinforced in ongoing direct communication with clients
  • Signage communicating the importance of not attending if symptomatic of illness is clearly displayed at both indoor and outdoor sessions
  • Attending symptomatic of illness will result in our services being terminated
  • If the photographer is unwell, affected clients will be notified and provided a future booking
  • An exposure to a person with COVID 19 will result in the closure of this business until it is declared safe to re-open by the relevant authority
  • In the event that the Photographer comes into close contact with a confirmed COVID-19 case, the photographer will: 1. Immediate quarantine 2. Notify WorkSafe A.C.T. where there is evidence it was contracted at a workplace  2. get tested 3. Identify and notify close contacts 4. not undertake photography appointments until the photographer has received a negative test result and has no symptoms.
  • In the event that the client comes into contact with a person with COVID-19, they shall notify the photographer immediately and will not schedule a photography session until they have received a negative test result and has no symptoms.
