How do I book? +

Fill out our booking enquiry form to get started. We'll reach out to schedule a quick phone consultation, then secure your spot with the session fee and e-signed terms & conditions.

Where will the session be held? +

Family sessions are typically held at one of our beautiful outdoor locations around Canberra during golden hour — the soft, warm light just before sunset — or in our Kambah studio for a timeless, minimalist look.

When is the best time to book? +

We recommend booking 4 to 6 weeks in advance, especially for weekend slots or outdoor golden hour sessions — these are our most popular times and tend to fill up quickly throughout the year.

What should our family wear? +

Cohesion is key, but you don't need to match perfectly. We recommend a palette of 3 to 4 complementary neutral tones. Avoid large logos or busy patterns — they distract from the faces and emotions in the frame.

My kids are very active — is that okay? +

More than okay — we love active kids. Our family sessions are lifestyle-focused, meaning we encourage play and movement to capture genuine smiles and the unique personality of each child.

How long does a session last? +

Standard family sessions usually run for 45 to 60 minutes. This is enough time to capture a variety of groupings and individual portraits while keeping children engaged and having fun.

What's included in my session? +

Your session includes the pre-session phone consultation, the shoot itself, hand-retouching of every delivered image, and a private online gallery for viewing and selection. All clients receive a comprehensive session prep guide.

Are prints included? +

The Complete Legacy includes a custom 20″ × 20″ framed wall art piece. Additional custom wall art and enlargements are available to purchase separately — there's no pressure, we'll guide you through the options at your own pace.

What print products do you offer? +

We offer fine art enlargements, artisan albums, floating metal and acrylic wall mounts, and fine art canvas. We're happy to advise on sizing and placement for your specific home space.

What is the session fee? +

The $150 session fee is included in all package prices — it's not an additional cost. It acts as a non-refundable retainer covering all pre-shoot work and session setup.

How long until I receive my images? +

Within three weeks of your session, you'll receive access to your private gallery. Once you've made your selections, downloads are available immediately. Custom wall art production takes up to six weeks.

Can I get a discount? +

Our pricing reflects the full end-to-end experience and we're unable to offer discounts. That said, we offer flexible payment options and packages at a range of investment levels to suit different budgets.

Can I purchase additional images? +

Yes. If your gallery holds more beautiful moments than your package includes, you can upgrade to a larger package or purchase individual digital files at any time.

Do you offer gift vouchers? +

Absolutely. Family photography is a wonderful gift to give — vouchers can be purchased for a specific session fee or a dollar amount to be used towards any of our collections.

Can I have the RAW files? +

We don't release unedited RAW files. The magic is in the final image — hours of care go into the custom hand-retouching of every delivered file in your gallery.

What if it rains for our outdoor shoot? +

Canberra weather can be unpredictable. If heavy rain is forecast or catches us by surprise on the day, we'll check in with you and reschedule to the next available date — bear in mind weekends fill in advance, so we may need a little flexibility. We only reschedule for the heavy stuff: overcast skies actually provide a soft, moody glow that makes for beautifully honest portraits.

Can I bring a pet? +

Absolutely. We love including pets in our outdoor family sessions — dogs are regulars, but all kinds of animals are warmly welcome to be part of your story. If you're planning to bring a larger companion such as a horse, just let us know during booking so we can select a suitable location together.
