Hi, I’m Bronwyn—the heart, solo photographer, and caffeine-fueled creative behind Bronwyn Parsons Photography. I’m a newborn photographer, storyteller, wife, and (most importantly) a mum to three incredible kids, including two autistic boys who have taught me more about patience, adaptability, and the beauty of the unexpected than I ever imagined possible. 

Born and raised in Canberra, I spent my childhood exploring the Tidbinbilla and Namadgi surrounds, where I developed a deep love for nature (and a talent for dodging snakes) that still shapes my work today.

My love for photography started when film was still a thing!  My first experience developing black-and-white film involved fumbling around in a pitch-black room, relying entirely on touch because I wasn’t yet allowed in a real darkroom. Whether it was the thrill of the challenge or the sheer magic of watching an image come to life, I was hooked from that moment on.

Before photography became my full-time passion, I worked in philanthropic development, business, and marketing—until life (and motherhood) nudged me in a different direction. Raising children with additional needs shifted my perspective, leading me to create Bronwyn Parsons Photography—a space where creativity meets flexibility, and where I get to capture life’s most fleeting, beautiful moments while also being present for the people who matter most

My Approach

Newborn photography is a blend of artistry, patience, and heart. As both a mother and a carer, I understand that every baby (and family!) is wonderfully unique. Some little ones snooze their way through a session, while others prefer to call the shots—I welcome it all. My role is to gently guide, soothe, and adapt, creating a relaxed experience that results in dreamy, timeless images.

I also know that family life isn’t always picture-perfect—and that’s perfectly okay. Whether your newborn refuses to settle, your toddler is running the show, or a sibling needs a little extra time to warm up, I bring a patient, understanding approach to every session. My goal is to create a space where your family feels comfortable, celebrated, and truly seen.

When I’m not behind the camera (or wrangling my own little crew), you’ll usually find me with a coffee in hand, editing your precious photos. And when I do steal a rare moment of free time (what’s that?!), I love playing the piano, creating art, or simply soaking in the beauty of nature.
